Q. I love several of your invitation designs but they are not my exact colors! Can we change colors/fonts/ribbons to match my wedding?

A. YES! All of our designs can be customized to match your personal style! The invitations listed on our website are just a few basic designs. We have a huge variety of stock, ribbon, and crystal colors. Our invites can also be made smaller or larger depending on your needs. Because we are a custom design invitation studio, we can also personalize any existing design to match your style or colors.  If you like a design but want a different invite shape, want to add/remove inserts that you don’t see in the sample, or need to change a silk box to an envelope to bring costs down, we are happy to work with you.  We specialize in creating custom invitations that perfectly capture your style and requirements.

Q. There are no prices listed on your website. What is the price for your basic invitation ensemble?

A. BG Designs is a custom design invitation studio. We don’t have a basic invitation ensemble because every invitation is custom created especially for you and YOUR big day, to meet your specific vision and needs.  Pricing for your invitations is based on the materials used such as type of  cardstock, i.e. shimmer or matte, textured or non-textured, specialty papers, extra layers, embellishments,  number of inserts, additional components..... you get the picture! It’s all about you and what you want created to evoke your vision of your wedding day.

Q. How does this process work?

A. We encourage you to call or email us with any questions you may have.  If you are local, we can set up a custom design meeting. No meeting is really necessary, as we can work over the phone and internet.

After our initial face to face, email or phone consultation with you, we will provide you with a custom quote based on designs and styles discussed. Once we have agreed on the details we will email you an Order Agreement along with a deposit invoice. The 50% non-refundable deposit along with a signed Order Agreement allows us to begin the design process. We will email you a proof of your order incorporating your personal details and requested design elements within 5 working days.

At BG Designs, nothing goes to print until every aspect of your invitation is approved by you. We allow up to three revisions of your digital invitation proofs at no charge to ensure that your wording and layout are perfect! We also require that you a sign a production contract which specifically lists every aspect of your invitation. It is highly recommended that you have several pairs of eyes look at your proofs prior to signing off on them. Check that dates and times are correct and that there are no spacing or spelling errors!

When ordering wedding stationery, we suggest that you order 10-15 extra invitations.

Q. Are there any other charges we should be aware of?

A. We do not charge for digital proofs unless you require more than 3 revisions of a particular design (this is for each element requiring a proof). A $75.00/per hour custom design fee would apply for additional proofs, redesigning of your invitation or creating a new graphic. Estimated completion time is based on the complexity of your changes.

Q. Do my invitations come assembled?

A. Of course! By assembled we mean, any mounted layers and embellishments will be adhered for you. You will only need to stuff any inserts into pocket folds and/or your invitations into envelopes. Should you wish for us to stuff, seal and/or stamp your wedding invitations for you it would be our pleasure! Please contact us for pricing.

Q. How long will my custom designed invitations take to complete?

A. We typically require 4-6 weeks to print and assemble your invites after your proofs are approved. This means that you should start the invitation process as soon as possible in order to ensure that your invitations are delivered in a timely manner. We recommend that you send your invitations at least 6-8 weeks in advance, and possibly longer if you have a significant number of out-of-town guests or if  you are planning a destination wedding.

Please note that many factors can affect your timeline, such as how quickly you respond with your information and design feedback, if custom fabrics, materials or specialty papers need to be ordered and the complexity and size of your order.

Q. Will you accept rush orders?

A.Yes, we can accommodate a rush order!  Depending on the complexity of your design, the materials used and order size, rush charges range from 30% to 40% of the total order.  A rush order is typically completed in under 3  weeks — for larger and more complicated orders, the time frame could be up to 4 weeks.

Q. Can you create coordinating accessories for my big day?

A. Absolutely!! While the invitation sets the tone for your wedding day, coordinating accessories truly help capture the style and theme of your wedding! We can create matching table numbers, menus, seating/place/escort cards, seating legends, programs, favor tags, best wish sets, custom signs, favors, and more! Give us a call or email us for ideas. Q. Do you offer any other products besides invitations and favors?

A. We do actually!  We can design all of your paper needs: invitations, programs, place cards, menus...whatever you need. We also have companies we deal with that sell personalized gifts and accessories, candles, reception decorations...if you need it, we can probably find it. Just contact us with what you are looking for and we'll get back to you most of the time within 24 hours.

We offer custom designed maps to match your fonts, colors and invitation design. Maps are typically $50-$75. Depending on the complexity of the design, there may be a small graphic design fee.

We also offer custom designed postage stamps for your invitations and response postcards and envelopes. Love the custom wedding monogram we designed for you? Truly make it custom by incorporating your monogram into a custom postage stamp for you to use with your wedding invite ensemble.

Q. Do you offer any additional services other than creating wedding invitations?

A. Yes! We offer a multitude of services to make the planning of your big day much easier! We offer computer calligraphy services, event planning and coordination services, and much more!

Q. Do you provide your services nationally?

A. Absolutely! While we are based in Orange County, California, we work with clients all over the United States and Canada. We can work over the internet, through "snail" mail or by fax. We work with customers internationally as well. Our design program allows us to "virtually" build your invitation in a digital graphic image, and then e-mail it to you so that you can see what it will look like.
